Chief Wade Goolsby
Chief Wade Goolsby began serving as the Waxahachie Police Chief on March 9, 2015.
Chief Goolsby spent the last 7 years as the Deputy Chief of police for the Seguin Police Department. Prior to his role in Seguin, Goolsby was the Chief of Police in Southlake from 2005 to 2008. He was also the Deputy Chief for the City of Coppell from 1995 to 2005. Goolsby began his career in Arlington, where he started as a patrol officer in 1980, and worked his way through the ranks and was a Sergeant upon his departure in 1995. He and his wife have two grown sons that are also located in the DFW area.
Goolsby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and a Masters degree in Public Administration, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also holds his Master Certification through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
