CID
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Waxahachie Police Department is staffed with dedicated professionals and our standards are some of the highest in the state. We currently have 8 Investigators including the CID Lieutenant assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. The Criminal Investigations Division is comprised of three subsections, Crimes against Persons, Property Crimes and Fraud. The agency also has a full time Property Officer that serves within the Criminal Investigations Unit. All crimes reported after the fact are assigned to a Detective based on the Detective’s areas of expertise, primary case assignments and workload. Once assigned, the case is investigated by the Detective until it is closed by arrest or exceptional means or inactivated due to lack of details.
